First photo is of the mother plant, to show an example of how big they can get! It's native to Africa and very drought tolerant. They thrive in dry, sunny areas with well-drained soil and new plants can be made easily from their cuttings! The sap within these plants is irritating to the skin and dangerous to get in the eyes. For that reason, they make for great security hedges to protect property edges or vulnerable window areas!
